Band Info

Ray Bowden -Drums. Began playing drums when living in Holland in the 70s. My Greatest influences were many of the fine drummers of New Orleans - Joe Watkins, Louis Barbarin, Cie Frazier and Sammy Penn. My regular job as a touring roadie took up so much time for many years, so disappeared from the jazz scene until retiring from that. Since then, have played and toured Europe with several bands, Brain Carrick’s Algiers Stompers, and Andrew Halls Memories of New Orleans among others. Have also played gigs in New Orleans, Street Parades, and in Preservation Hall. I also played at Colchester Jazz Club several times with Brian Carrick band.
