Damien Murphy – Keyboard. Damien showed a love of jazz from an early age and was Secretary of the Student Jazz Club at Queen’s University, Belfast in his youth. As a pianist, he played with the Bill Brunskill band in the 1960s and later with the Original East Side Stompers. Damien fondly remembers doing gigs with the band at the Cauliflower in Ilford, around this time. During the 1970s Damien was a member of Steve Lane’s Famous Southern Stompers and can be heard on their records. After many years of gigging around, in 2014, Damien joined the Vo-de-o-do Orchestra, which is the big brother of the Louisiana Rhythm Kings.
