Band Info

Isabel Toner – String bass. Isabel took up playing bass to avoid being a jazz widow. She made her public debut in Fritzels, Bourbon Street, in 1994. She became a key member of bands such as Bricktops Jazz Babes and the Merseysippi Jazz Band, and now leads her own band, Deeside Dixies. She is a member of the all-girl band Hotsy Totsie, and can also be heard playing sousaphone or trombone in several marching bands. Isabel qualifiers as a northerner, as she now comes from Cheshire.
