Band Info

John Jeanes - Trombone. As a teenager I played guitar in a dance band and I switched to trombone in 1955 to play New Orleans revival jazz. During the following years I played for The Elysian Jazz Band, Dave Nelsons Marlborough Jazz Band and the Crane River led by the late Neil Millet. Due to family and work commitments I stopped playing for some forty years. I started to play again in 2008 when I was invited to join the Frog Island Jazz Band – not only a jazz band but a group of friends.
