Sunday 5 July 2026 - Summer Party Night
Come and celebrate the Colchester Jazz Club's Summer Party on Sunday 5 July 2026, 7.00 - 10.00 pm. Dancing and listening to Richard Bennett's New Orleans All Stars. The theme for the evening is Hawaiian/loud shirts. We will have strawberries and cream, plus there will be the usual raffle and brolly parade.
CJC 70th Anniversary Party
Colchester Jazz Club - 70th Anniversary Party
Sunday 11 October 2026 - 2.30 pm until 9.30 pm
at Marks Tey Parish Hall.
This is a ticket only event and the tickets will be going on sale initially to members only on 5th July 2026, and will then be open to guests on 2nd August.
The price of tickets will be £25 for members and £35 for guests, payment by cash or cheque please. Tickets can be bought at the Club on Sunday evenings or you can contact Maureen by phone or email (see contact details under 'About the Club - Contact Us') We hope you will join us in celebrating our 70th.
We have John Maddocks Jazzmen (8 piece band) playing for us in the afternoon:

Tom Connor (Trumpet), Simon Wyld (Trombone),
Andy Dickens (Guitar), Sy Gorlick (Drums),
Peter McCurrie (Bass) and Keith Durston (Piano)
And
Pete Rudeforth and the Regulars playing in the evening:
Pete Rudeforth (Trumpet), Trevor Whiting (Clarinet),
Andy Flaxman (Trombone), Sean Moyses (Banjo),
Sandy Burnett (Bass) and John Sutton (Drums).
Doors open at 1.45 pm and the music starts at 2.30 pm until 5.00 pm with John Maddocks Jazzmen. A buffet meal will be served at 5.00 pm, more music at 7.00 pm until 9.30 pm with Pete Rudeforth and The Regulars. There will be a raffle, lucky ticket prize, bar and brolly parade.
No Jazz Session on 13 September 2026
Please note that there will be no jazz session at the Club on 13 September 2026 due to the Warner's Jazz Festival, which many of our members attend.
