Band Info

Dave Ware (Trumpet) My father was a cornet player in the Coldstream Guards. He started me on violin aged 13, took 2 exams at Trinity College of Music, however once I heard Louis Armstrong playing Wild Man Blues on Desert Island Discs I was hooked. Started playing trumpet in various jazz bands from age of 18. During the 60's switched to soul bands including Ben E King's first UK tour, also spent time in Dusty Springfield's backing group, recorded Big Time Operator on Zoot Money's hit which got to number 20. Joined the Phoenix D.J Band in the 80's until 2010 when I formed my own band.
