Band Info

Roger Davis, double bass, formed his first band, playing trombone, while still at school. After realising his limitations on that instrument - he turned up at one gig with only half the trombone in its case - he found himself more comfortable on the double bass. After a satisfying career in Civil Engineering he now enjoys playing all styles of jazz, from trad to modern; in fact he'll play for anyone who bothers to phone him up. He has a growing collection of double basses and you'll most likely hear him playing his Thomas Martin bass made for him by the master himself. He is continually looking for ways to improve his live sound which is why he lists his hobby as 'buying things'.
