Band Info

Derek Clenshaw - Trombone - Started on trumpet at the age of twelve before quickly changing over to trombone. After joining the local brass band he quickly worked his way up to first trombone and started playing freelance at the age of fifteen with local jazz, dance and big bands before joining Cambridge-based Tony's Goodtime Jazzmen in the late 1980's. Derek has starred with many well-known musicians such as Humphrey Lyttelton, Freddie Randall, Terry Lightfoot, Keith Smith, Mike Cotton, Enrico Tomasso, Alan Gresty and is often seen in the South Essex area with Dave Grant's Carlton Jazzmen.
