Band Info

Max Collie – Trombone and Vocal – Bandleader, trombonist and organiser. Max left his native Melbourne, Australia in 1962 to play with Melbourne New Orleans Jazz band and took, shortly afterwards, the lead of the London City Stompers. Way back in 1966 he formed his own band the Rhythm Aces and with very little personnel changes, this band, right through to today, counts amongst the European highlights in Traditional Jazz.
